Year 3

Welcome to Year 3 Home Learning Page

Have you read...?

I Am the Seed that Grew the Tree by Fiona Walters and Frann Preston-Gannon.

This collection of poems explores the wonder of nature and animals.  A poem dedicated to every day of the year, there is a variety of topics to enjoy ranging from the ever-changing seasons, the arrival of new animals and plants and the transition between day and night.  Each double-page spread is beautifully illustrated, which further compliments the poems and enhances your overall reading experience.

Sing Up at Home

We want that you are still able to experience and enjoy the benefits of singing.

Sing Up at Home is full of songs and resources which you can access for free at home.  There is a new ‘Song of the week’ each week so keep checking their website to see if you can learn a new one with your family.

Message from your teachers 18th May 2020

Dear Year 3,

We are so proud of you. You have been uploading some amazing home learning to our Class Dojo pages. We have had a lovely selection of photos and videos showing us your learning and lots of other things you have been doing whilst you are at home. It is brilliant to see so many photos – including ones of the yellow challenge Mr Davis set for us.

Keep uploading your work – we may be in different places, but we still really enjoy looking at your work and seeing how you are all getting on.

Stay safe.

Dear Year 3 children,

THANK YOU to all of you who have uploaded work to the Dojo website. It is lovely to be able to see what you have been up to and how you are still continuing your learning at home.

Please keep adding your photos and videos - they make us smile.

We hope you are all safe and well with your families and we look forward to the time we can be back in school together.

Messages from your teachers- Week Commencing 20th April

20th April 2020

Dear Year 3 children,

We cannot tell you how much we are missing you all but we are very happy to know that by being away from school – no matter how hard that can be for all of us – it is keeping you all safe. As you will know by now, the schools need to be closed a little longer so we have all worked together to bring you some home learning for the next two weeks.

We thought you might like to see the beautiful blossom on the tree in our playground at the moment.  The petals that have already fallen off looked like pink snow on the floor.
